Continuation of Successful Cooperation

Students of Faculty of Political Science visited SIPA

Today (24/10/2017), in accordance with the signed Cooperation Agreement between the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the Faculty of Political Science, University of Sarajevo, third-year students of the Department of Security and Peace Studies, accompanied by the assistant professor Mirza Smajić, visited SIPA, within the framework of the subject "Criminalistics“.

The students visited Special Support Unit headquarters, where they were welcomed by the Unit Commander Enes Karić. Within the framework of this visit, the students were presented with the organizational structure of SIPA, its competences and role in the B&H security system, the specific competences of Special Suport Unit, namely the work and role of this elite unit in the fight against most complex types of crime. They were also presented with certain pieces of the Unit’s weaponry and other equipment, as well as with trainings of service dogs in police tactics.

This way of participation in education of future personnel of B&H security organisations SIPA finds important, therefore, we will continue to cooperate with the Faculty of Political Science, as well as with other educational institutions in B&H. In this way, the confidence in police structures strenghtens and partnership relations with citizens developes, which is one of the SIPA's major interests.
