SIPA Sixth Generation Cadets Sworn In

Today (08/01/2016), 11 SIPA cadets took solemn oath before the Deputy Minister of Security, Mijo Kresic in the official premises of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in East Sarajevo. By swearing in they have formally become SIPA employees in the rank of a police officer.

Once they have passed the rigorous recruitment selection, 11 cadets attended and successfully completed basic police training for acquiring the rank of police officer, conducted by the Agency for Education and Professional Training. Deputy Minister of Security said that they are expected to work professionally and diligently and that he was glad that SIPA was strengthened by the young staff. He stressed the importance of cooperation of law enforcement agencies for the fight against all forms of crime to be more effective and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to be safer.

SIPA Director, Perica Stanić, during his address to the cadets, said that is a great honor and responsibility to be an employee of SIPA, adding that they are expected to perform the job of a police officer lawfully, professionally and honestly and to always be at the service of citizens. He also said that SIPA plans in the coming period the construction of a facility dedicated to the SIPA Special Support Unit, and that it also plans to recruit another generation of cadets, which will further strengthen SIPA capacities.

Apart from the Deputy Minister of Security and the Director of SIPA, the ceremony was attended by heads of organizational units of SIPA, and the directors and deputy directors of partner agencies in B&H.
