SIPA Deprived One Individual of Liberty for War Crime

Yesterday (12/7/2016), acting upon orders of the Prosecutor’s Office B&H, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) deprived one individual of liberty in the area of Mostar Municipality for war crime.

The individual identified by initials MČ (1970) was deprived of liberty due to grounds for suspicion of having committed the criminal offence under Article 175 of the CC B&H “War Crime against War Prisoners” in conjunction with criminal offence under Article 180 of the CC B&H “Individual and Command Responsibility” and Article 29 of the CC B&H “Co-perpetration”. The individual is suspected of having committed the mentioned criminal offences in the area of Sarajevo Municipality during 1992 when eight members of reserve forces of the Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA) were killed.

The apprehended individual was brought to SIPA premises for criminal processing and handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office for further proceedings.
