SIPA Apprehended Four Persons and Searched 17 Buildings

Today, September 16th 2009, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency apprehended in the area of Sarajevo, Konjic, Mostar and Bihać four persons with initials N.H., M.M., Dž.S. i S.H. due to the grounded suspicion that they on April 16th 1993, committed in Trusina, Konjic Municipality, a criminal offence referred to in the Article 173 of the CC B&H „War Crimes Against Civilian Population“and Article 175 „War Crimes Against War Prisoners“.

Upon criminal processing at the State Investigation and Protection Agency's premises, the apprehended persons will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H, upon whose order the action was carried out.

Pursuant to the instructions of the Court of B&H, 17 housing and other facilities owned or used by the apprehended persons were searched in the area of Sarajevo, Konjic, Jablanica, Mostar and Bihać. All possible documentation found in relation to the war period will be, along with the report on conducted search, submitted to the Court of B&H.

The action was carried out in cooperation with the police officials of the Ministries of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and Una-Sana Canton.
