Sarajevo Canton Police Day: SIPA's Special Support Unit Team Winners

Members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) Special Support Unit are winners of a three-day tournament held 27 – 29 August 2012, as a part of the “Canton Sarajevo Police Day” event.

The Special Support Unit of SIPA raised a trophy owing to the best results in the “Rescue of Injured Police Officer” and “Tower” drills and won the second place in an individual drill of the “Super-Policeman”.

Members of eight Special Units, Support Units and Special Support Units from the entire B&H competed during the tournament in two other team disciplines: “Hostage Rescue” and “Range with Obstacles”.

Every team consisted of five contestants – police officers dressed in uniforms, with equipment used for high-risk operations. The drills required resourcefulness, precision, speed, strength and endurance.

The second place went to Team 1 of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior and Team 2 of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior won the third place.

Trophies, diplomas and awards for the team and individual winners of the tournament were handed over by the Sarajevo Canton Minister of Interior, Muhamed Budimlić, on 28 August 2012.
