Participants of 12th Security Policy Training Visited SIPA

Yesterday (14/6/2016), the Special Support Unit of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) was visited by attendees of the 12th B&H Security Policy Training. The aim of the visit was to learn about the activities and role of the Unit in implementation of the B&H Security Policy.

The training participants got an insight into competence and role of SIPA in the B&H security system and details regarding effective fight against the most complex types of crime in B&H, with special emphasis on the role of the Special Support Unit and the achieved results. Participants of the course were presented a part of the equipment of the Unit and attended a demonstration of detection of narcotics.

The visit to the SIPA Special Support Unit has become a tradition and is included in the course program as of 2007. Given the role and importance of SIPA in the security system, this visit is one of the most important segments of the entire training on Security Policy BiH. The training course is organised by Inter-Ministerial Working Group of the Council of Ministers B&H, which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the document "Security Policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina", in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
