583 calls to “Crime-Stoppers” in June

In June 2009, the State Investigation and Protection Agency’s (SIPA) police officials registered 583 calls to "Crime-Stoppers" telephone line.  Citizens submitted 90 useful information on committed or planned criminal offenses, which were forwarded to the competent police authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further processing, while 238 were evaluated as not serious.

The majority of the received information was related to criminal offences of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, vehicle related crime and abuse of official position and authority.

The SIPA police officials gave 238 recommendations to citizens who called 080-020-505, the number of "Crime-Stoppers".
