529 Calls to "Crime-Stoppers" in July

In July 2009, the State Investigation and Protection Agency’s (SIPA) police officials registered 529 calls do "Crime-Stoppers" telephone line, out of which 178 were evaluated as not serious.

In the aforementioned time period, citizens submitted 81 useful information on committed or planned criminal offences and their perpetrators, based on which the same number of reports was made.

The majority of the received information was related to criminal offences of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, vehicle related crime and unauthorized possession of weapons or explosive materials.

Out of the total number of useful information, 70 of them, along with the reports, were forwarded to the competent police authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further processing, and 11 pieces of information were related to criminal offences from the competence of SIPA.

The SIPA’s police officials gave 270 recommendations to the citizens who called 080-020-505, the number of "Crime-Stoppers".
