31,000 Pirated Sound and Image Carriers Seized in Sarajevo

On April 15th, 2010 the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) police officials detected and seized circa 31,000 sound and image carriers, and a significant amount of equipment for the production of pirated carriers in Sarajevo.

In a search carried out in three locations, among other things, 30 pieces of 7.62 mm rounds for automatic rifle, police bat, 15 new mobile telephones of unidentified origin, several chargers, batteries and headphones for mobile telephones.

SIPA's police officials will submit to the Prosecutor's Office of B&H a report on committed criminal offence set out in the Article 243 CC B&H (Impermissible Use of Copyright) against two individuals with whom the pirated sound and image carriers and the equipment for their production were found.

The mentioned individuals had been selling the pirated sound and image carriers at the markets and streets across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
