30 Kilograms of “Skunk“ Seized in Trebinje

In an action carried out upon the order of a prosecutor from the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor's Office of B&H, officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) apprehended two individuals in Trebinje and seized approximately 30 kilograms of marijuana (“skunk”).

According to operational intelligence obtained during the investigation, the drug was smuggled from the Republic of Montenegro to Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of its further transport towards Croatia and Western European countries.

Moreover, searches of a number of premises and facilities were carried out in Trebinje for the purpose of collecting evidence in relation to the mentioned criminal offence.

Under suspicion of committing the criminal offence set out in the Article 250 CC B&H (Organised Crime), in conjunction to the criminal offence set out in the Article 195 CC B&H (Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs), Seselj Momcilo, DOB July 30th 1964, resident of Ravno municipality, citizen of B&H and Montenegro and Vreca Risto, DOB October 17th 1970, resident of Trebinje, citizen of B&H, were handed over to a prosecutor of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption.

Upon interrogation of the suspects, the prosecutor filed a motion to the Court B&H to order a 30 day detention for the suspects pursuant to reasons specified in the Article 132 CC B&H.
Imposing detention, among other things, was requested due to a risk of flight of the suspects, the risk that they might impede investigation, influence witnesses and accomplices, cover and destroy evidence, if released.

The Prosecutor's Office B&H announced that the value of the seized drugs at the illicit narcotics market in Croatia is circa 150,000 Euros and in street sale in Western European Countries over 250,000 Euros.
